Treatment Plan

Pain management Wound care:

• Clean and debride
• Appropriate dressing
• Antibiotics if infected
• Topical/oral metronidazole for 7 days if malodorous (avoid alcohol)
• Mild topical corticosteroids for itching Bleeding management:
• Mild: gentle pressure
• Severe: urgent attention may require:
  –  TXA
  –  Cauterisation
  –  Haemostatic sponges Psychological support as needed
