Treatment Plan
Gonococcal PID:
- Ceftriaxone 1g IM (single dose) + Doxycycline & Metronidazole for 14 days
Non-gonococcal PID:
- Ofloxacin + Metronidazole for 14 days OR
- Levofloxacin + Metronidazole for 14 days OR
- Moxifloxacin for 14 days
Third line (if the above treatments fail):
Ceftriaxone 1g IM followed by Azithromycin 1g weekly for 2 weeks
Test of cure:
- Gonorrhoea: 2-4 weeks
- Chlamydia: 3-5 weeks
