- Clinical diagnosis based on the appearance of lesions TREATMENT PLAN
Conservative:
- Hygiene measures
- School exclusion until lesions healed/crusted or 48h post antibiotics
- Optimise underlying conditions (e.g. eczema management)
Topical treatment:
- Hydrogen peroxide 1% or
- Fusidic acid 2% or
- Mupirocin 2%
- Apply 2-3 times daily for 5 days
Oral antibiotics:
- Consider if the extensive or bullous form o Flucloxacillin
