Referral Pathways
- Refer to the 2-week Cancer Referral Pathway if:
- CXR findings are suggestive of
- Age >40 years with Unexplained
- Offer Urgent (2-week) CXR if age ≥40 years and ≥2 (or ≥1 for smokers) of the following unexplained symptoms:
- Cough, Shortness of breath (SOB), Chest pain, Fatigue, Fever, Weight loss,
Appetite loss
- Consider Urgent (2-week) CXR for age >40 with any of the following:
- Persistent/recurrent chest infection, Finger clubbing, Thrombocytosis, Chest signs consistent with lung cancer, Supraclavicular/persistent cervical lymphadenopathy
