- Same-day specialist assessment for:
- Abnormal blood count
- Unexplained petechiae in children Unexplained hepatomegaly in children – Treatment:
- Systemic chemotherapy
- Stem cell transplant
- Maintenance therapy for 2 years
– Side effects: nausea, vomiting, hair loss, neuropathy, immunosuppression – Urgent treatment for neutropenic fever – Immediate referral for:
- Chickenpox contact (VZIG)
- Measles contact (immunoglobulin)
