- Most common complication: Dehydration

- Transmission routes:
- Coughing, sneezing, nasal/oral secretions
- Contact with blister fluid
- Faecal-oral spread
- Vertical transmission is possible
EXTRA’S
- Pregnant women are advised to avoid close contact with cases
- Caution is advised during the delivery period.
