TREATMENT PLAN

Conservative:

• Urgent dental referral
• Analgesia

Medical:

• Antibiotics if systemically unwell/immunocompromised:
• First line: Penicillin V or Amoxicillin
• If penicillin is allergic: Erythromycin + Metronidazole

Emergency:

• Hospital admission if: Compromised airway or systemically unwell

PROGNOSIS

Good with appropriate dental intervention.
