PREVALENCE
The most common cause of bowel obstruction in infants
Common between 5-18 months of age
ETIOLOGY
Unknown in most cases
RISK FACTORS
- Associated with Down’s syndrome, rotavirus/adenovirus, intestinal polyps, Meckel’s diverticulum and HSP
