Conservative:
- Glasses for refractive error correction
- Occlusion therapy (eye patch)
- Penalisation therapy (atropine drops)
Interventional:
- Surgery
- Botulinum injections
Referral:
- Urgent if suspected in children
- Routine if no serious symptoms
Prognosis
Complications if untreated:
- Amblyopia
- Permanent vision changes
- Loss of binocular vision
- Poor depth perception
- Abnormal head posture
