Signs & Symptoms
Complications include:
- Electrolyte imbalances: hyperkalaemia, hypermagnesemia, hypophosphatemia, hyponatremia, hypocalcaemia
- Metabolic acidosis: altered consciousness, collapse, hyperventilation
- Fluid overload: peripheral/pulmonary
- Uraemia: pericarditis, neuropathy, encephalopathy
