• Sac-like protrusions through the bowel wall
• 85% are located in the sigmoid/descending colon
Risk Factors
• Advanced age
• Genetics
• Low fibre diet
• High red meat intake
• Smoking
• Obesity
• NSAIDs use
• Opiate use
• Immunosuppression
