Treatment Plan
Conservative:
• Stop causative antibiotic
• Increase fluid intake
• Monitor hydration status
Medical:
• Vancomycin 10 days or Fidaxomicin 10 days (with microbiology advice)
Admission criteria:
• Systemically unwell
• Severe dehydration
• Complications present
Infection control:
• Remain off work/school until 48 hours after diarrhoea resolves
• Strict hygiene measures
