- Malignant tumour of the ovary
- Primary (90% epithelial, 10% non-epithelial) or secondary cancers
PREVALENCE
- Lifetime risk: 1 in 50 women
ETIOLOGY
Primary:
- Epithelial (90%): serous, mucinous, endometrioid, clear cell, transitional cell
- Non-epithelial (10%): germ cell, stromal cell, sex cord Secondary:
- Breast cancer
- Endometrial cancer
- GI cancer
