For these patients, determine who can be switched to SABA-free treatment, especially if asthma symptoms are uncontrolled.
In their next review, determine if the patient can be switched:
- If the patient remains symptomatic on SABA – initiate the switch
- If not symptomatic and don’t want to switch, then they can stay on SABA
