Acute Bronchitis:
- Cough lasting 2-3 weeks
- Post-bronchitis syndrome: cough up to 6 months
- No chest signs
- Systemically well
- No chest x-ray findings
Pneumonia:
| – Focal consolidation on chest x-ray
– Productive yellow-green sputum – Fever – Systemically unwell – Focal crepitations |
– Dull Percussion & vocal fremitus
– Bronchial breathing – Low oxygen saturation – Tachycardia – Hypotension – Confusion |
