Treatment Plan
Mild-Moderate:
• Watchful waiting
• Psychological interventions: group/digital/individual CBT
• If no response in 2-3 months: a CAMHS referral
Moderate-Severe:
• Psychological interventions for 3-6 months
• Antidepressants: Fluoxetine
• Takes 2-4 weeks for symptom improvement
• Caution in under 12s
• Consider for ages 12-18
Continue treatment until full remission (6 months)
Gradual discontinuation over 6-12 months
