Definition
• Malignant neoplasm of the prostate gland
• 95% adenocarcinomas
• Graded using Gleason score: <6 low grade, 7 intermediate, 8-10 high grade
• Most indolent and slow-growing
• Can become aggressive with metastatic spread

Prevalence
• Most common in males aged 65-69
• Affects 1 in 6-8 males with increasing age
• This can occur in trans women
