Definition
• Bacterial STI caused by Chlamydia trachomatis

Prevalence
• The most common bacterial STI in men
• 70% of women are asymptomatic – typically present w/ inflammation of cervix +/- urethritis
• 50% of men are asymptomatic – typically present w/ Urethritis

Etiology
• Caused by Chlamydia trachomatis Risk Factors
• Age <25
• Multiple sexual partners
• New sexual partner
• Lack of appropriate condom use
