Treatment Plan

• Age <40: reassure if intermittent and no underlying abnormalities
• Age >40: identify the cause
• Refer to GUM clinic if STI is suspected
• Refer to the appropriate speciality if malignancy is suspected – 2wk cancer referral Refer if:

o    The underlying cause not identified >40
o     Persistent symptoms at any age
