Treatment Plan

TREATMENT PLAN
• First line: 14 days of antibiotics
o Quinolones (ciprofloxacin)
o Ofloxacin
• Second line:
o Levofloxacin
o Co-trimoxazole
• Review at 48 hrs and 14 days
• If no improvement: consider a further 14 days of treatment (max 6 weeks)

Referral criteria:
• Serious underlying urological issues
• Immunocompromised
• Diabetes
