• Prevalence: 90% on the left side.
• Cause: Venous insufficiency in the pampiniform plexus.
• Symptoms: “Bag of worms” sensation, often asymptomatic.
• Complications: Can lead to infertility.
• Treatment: Surgical ligation or embolisation if symptomatic
